We stand to win back our nation with a combination of tax reforms, foreign investment reforms, business and community reforms. We will encourage and organise Australians to support one anothers innovative skills and hard work with our own capital and overseas capital invested on fair conditions, so we can compete in the world economy and win true economic & political freedom for all Australians.
LEGAL & JUDICIARY
• We will ensure the punishment fits the crime. The penalties for
violent crimes and sex crimes against children will be increased.
• Persons sentenced to Life should not be eligible for parole until they
have served 80% of their life expectancy calculated using ABS figures at
the date of sentence.
• Convicted criminals will not be allowed to change their name or adopt
another name in jail or after release.
• We will increase legal aid for the needy and oppressed using savings
made by AusEtax.
• We will ensure victim’s rights are respected and better protected and
compensated in the criminal prosecution process.
• We will set up a national Victims of Crime program to help victims.
They will have their own case manager appointed to co-ordinate
counselling, help them cope with the legal system, represent them at
compensation hearings and assist them to rebuild their lives.
• We believe Australians should have the absolute right to use
reasonable force to defend our homes against home invaders. We will
introduce laws which provide that in the event of a home invasion, the
home owner is entitled to use reasonable force to defend their home and
evict the invader.
• In a proven home invasion, the only crime a homeowner can be convicted
of is “using unreasonable force against a home invader”. The onus of
proof will be on the Crown to prove to a jury beyond a reasonable doubt
that the homeowner’s force was unreasonable. If convicted, the homeowner
will face penalties the same as for common assault, regardless of the
injuries to the home invader – even the home invader’s death.
• Penalties for home invasion will be increased.
• Persons committing crimes on other person’s property will have no
rights to sue the property owner for damages in negligence or assault.
• We will establish a review of Australia’s Constitutional legal status.
