We stand to win back our nation with a combination of tax reforms, foreign investment reforms, business and community reforms. We will encourage and organise Australians to support one another’s innovative skills and hard work with our own capital and overseas capital invested on fair conditions, so we can compete in the world economy and win true economic & political freedom for all Australians.
MANUFACTURING
• We aim to grow the proportion of manufacturing in the Australian
economy from our present level of 13% to a minimum of 20% within 10
years (OECD average is about 25%).
• This will involve programs to increase skill levels of our workers.
MEDIA OWNERSHIP
• Australians must have a voice. We will insist foreign ownership of media is reduced to below 50%.
• We will assist Australian owned media organisations, film production units, writers, actors and artists to become established.
• We oppose majority cross ownership of news media.
• We will encourage Australian owned advertising agencies and ads.
• We will increase funding for the ABC and SBS including funding for the ABC to print an independent national newspaper to give more balance to the reporting of national affairs in the print media.
• We will ban all swearing, foul and abusive language on TV & Radio and ban children (all those under 18) from viewing films containing such language. Such films will be given a special classification.
MINING
• Miners will have to pay AusEtax.
• New mines must include at least 50% local ownership.
• We aim to progressively return mines to at least 50% local ownership.
