CORE POLICIES

We stand to win back our nation with a combination of tax reforms, foreign investment reforms, business and community reforms. We will encourage and organise Australians to support one another’s innovative skills and hard work with our own capital and overseas capital invested on fair conditions, so we can compete in the world economy and win true economic & political freedom for all Australians.

REGIONALISATION

• We recognize the need to help maintain and develop regional and rural towns and facilities. Australia has become too reliant on its capital cities which are growing at the expense of regional and rural areas.
• Our policies will support business development in the rural and regional centres.

ROAD SAFETY

• We support more driver education, particularly for our young people. A license should be a privilege. To gain a Learner’s permit, applicants must pass a written, oral and practical test and pass a defensive driving course. Learner’s Permits will be for at least 2 years (15-17) with an 80 kph limit in the first year, and on going education and skills courses during the whole two year period. Mandatory two year P plates with alcohol, speeding and dangerous driving convictions duringn this time resulting in cancellation of P plate and a further minimum 12 months on L plate.
• To gain a full License, learners must have held a Learners Permit for two years.
• All license holders seeking renewal of their license should pass a refresher test on road rules, an eyesight test and defensive driving course for holders with traffic convictions.
• Stiffer penalties for offenders including more time without licenses and mandatory defensive driving re-education.
• We support a national road safety strategy for truckies providing for more employer and driver education. We will limit hours on the road and provide for mandatory, realistic, safe journey times.
